This section will help you identify occupations where you have a good chance of succeeding. It can also help you see which Skills you may need to improve.

Click on the link in the left menu for each skill you want to assess. If the skill category is followed by a number, you have already completed the questions in that category. A display of "N/A" means that you have not yet completed that section of the Essential Skill self assessment.

After each skill category is completed, you will automatically return to this page where you can proceed to the next skill category. Once all have been completed you will be able to view how your score relates to specific occupations and continue on to learn more information within the Portfolio Builder section.

NOTE:
The completion of the assessment for Document Use, Reading Text, and Numeracy Skills requires viewing materials in order to answer a series of questions. It is recommended that you download and print Self Assessment Documents (pdf) and use it as your reference while completing the assessment.
